If you’re looking for an easy DIY advent calendar that will fit in seamlessly with your modern farmhouse aesthetic this holiday season, I’ve got the perfect solution for you.
Last year I used black coin envelopes to tuck our daily activities into. I used my vinyl cutting machine to add some white numbers onto each one. You could also simply use a paint pen or chalk marker to write them on yourself.
I displayed them on my mug rack by clipping them on with mini clothespins from the dollar store.
This year I’m re-using the same supplies and displaying them on this DIY Bulletin Board I created to display family photos.
I used the same clothespins and glued them onto the reusable wallpaper with a hot glue gun.
I created these acts of kindness printables that I laminated and tucked inside each envelope. Each day I’ll have the kids read their prompt, and at the end of the day we can share how we took action on the daily task.
I used a blank template to fill in all of those other fun holiday activities that we will do like looking at Christmas lights, baking cookies, and visiting with Santa. This way I can pop them into the appropriate day’s envelope or change things up easily if our schedule shifts.
